‘During the month of October 2019, month of the rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs), we organized several activities, amongst others an international audiovisual contest (in which we invited members of PAE to participate) that was published in social networks, a solidarity concert and a contest called “artrists” – artists and arthritis in 1 (one) word.
In November 2019, we had an information stand in a four-day annual fair that receives thousands of visitors in the city of Coruña, during which we gave interviews to radio and written press and raised awareness of thousands of people about RMDs.
Also in November 2019 the National League of Associations of Young People with RMDs (LIREJOVEN) was officially created. Our League is part of this League, with 2 members in the Board of Directors.
In December 2019, Dr Fr. Blanco, researcher rheumatologist of world famous eminence, gave an interesting lecture. It was followed by a ‘Getting to Know You’ dinner dance. At the end of December, the mayoress of the city of Coruña celebrated the annual Christmas reception in the City Hall where our League always is invited to participate with the city authorities.
On January 31th of 2020, we organized an informative lecture about RMDs with a rheumatologist researcher, who is the moderator the general secretary of our League. This took place in a sports club with 4.000 members.
March is the month of juvenile RMDs and we are preparing several activities and actitivies about these diseases. We were invited to one of the congresses by the National Pediatric Rheumatologists Association.
