PAE's 2019 General Assembly

The 19th June has been a busy and exciting day for Pain Alliance Europe as representatives if its members gathered for the annual meeting of the organisation.

The participants were informed about the 2018 activities and outcomes and discussed the action plan for the next period.

PAE members found out about the new projects and discussed new and better ways to communicate and reinforce the organisation and bring back the results to the members at national level.

General Assembly PAE 2019

Two new members joined to support our common actions, and we are happy to welcome them:

  • The Swedish Rheumatism Association – Reumatikerförbundet
  • The Bulgarian Federation Patient Forum

PAE counts after the General Assembly 43 members in 19 European countries. We are also in advanced discussions with an organisation from the Czech Republic whose membership will be considered for the next meeting.

SIP National Platforms Workshop

One of PAE’s main collaborative project SIP – Societal Impact of Pain has been presented to the members during the same day. The workshop’s aim was to establish  communication among PAE members concerning the development of national pain platforms by joining multiple stakeholders.

The workshop presented examples from existing national platforms in order to build best practices related to this process and enhance the learning from each other’s experience.

Multiple follow ups of the discussions on the SIP national platforms are to be organised in the next period to enhance this exchange and especially in the fall of 2019 when representatives of patients will join other stakeholders as participants to the SIP Symposium in Brussels.
