Dear reader,
We are approaching the end of the year 2020 and what a year it has been. We began full of energy, ideas and plans. However, because of COVID-19 we needed to think and start over again. Digital meetings replaced live meetings. Our work, which is primarily advocacy, consisted of meeting and speaking to people, not only by request but also when we were present at other meetings. With digital meetings, this aspect of advocacy was lost and this has made things much more complicated. Despite all of the problems, we can say that this has been a good year for PAE. We have done a lot and our cooperative attitude is more and more appreciated by our fellow associations and our counterparts as well as all the other stakeholders.
In this newsletter you find all the information about the things we are involved in. Reading it, even I am surprised how we as Pain Alliance Europe are managing all of this. It is really something to be proud of!
I would like to thank the board for the way they supported all these activities. The secretariat, Mariana Branco, how she made board members’ lives a lot easier. But mostly I want to thank our members for their continued support in 2020. I do hope we can count on your support again for 2021 and advocate for the activities we develop in the new year. A new year which I do hope will bring you everything you wish for. In your professional life as well as in your private life.
