The Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) platform, one of PAE’s main advocacy projects, is due to undergo a few changes.
The SIP platform is a multi-stakeholder platform which aims to raise awareness of pain and change pain policies. SIP was founded by Grünenthal and the European Pain Federation EFIC, with Pain Alliance Europe (PAE) and Active Citizenship Network (ACN) joining as partners at a later stage.
In 2019, Grünenthal took the decision that it should step back from its role as a SIP partner and instead take a sponsoring role. Grünenthal believes that the success of SIP depends upon the independence of the project.
From 2020 onwards, the other SIP partners will take the lead on the strategic planning of activities, as well as the management of projects and communications.
